Resionic ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Fresqi mobile application ("the App"). This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect
Data Stored Locally on Your Device
All core app data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers:
- Inventory items — Food names, quantities, storage locations, expiry dates, purchase dates
- Receipt data — Scanned receipt text, extracted prices, store names
- Price history — Item prices, store comparisons, spending data
- Shopping lists — Items you add to your shopping list
- Achievement data — Badges earned, streak counts, check-in dates
- App preferences — Notification settings, default storage location, onboarding status
We do not have access to this data. It is stored in a local database on your device.
Camera Access
The App requests camera access to:
- Scan grocery receipts using optical character recognition (OCR)
- Scan product barcodes (UPC/EAN codes)
- Scan QR codes on invoices
Camera data is processed entirely on your device using Google ML Kit. No images or camera data are transmitted to any server. Temporary image files are deleted immediately after processing.
Notification Access
The App requests notification permission to send you expiry reminders for food items. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to any server.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services that may process limited data:
Spoonacular API (Optional)
- Purpose: Recipe suggestions based on your inventory
- Data sent: Ingredient names (e.g., "chicken", "rice")
- When: Only when you view the Recipes tab and have configured an API key

Open Food Facts API (Optional)
DIAN Verification Portal (Optional)
- Purpose: Viewing Colombian electronic invoice data
- Data sent: Invoice verification URL (CUFE code) via WebView
- When: Only when you scan a DIAN QR code and choose to verify

Google ML Kit
Apple App Store / Google Play Store
- Purpose: In-app purchases (Fresqi Premium subscription)
- Data sent: Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple/Google
- We receive: A purchase confirmation (no payment details)
Data We Do NOT Collect
We want to be explicit about what we don't do:
- We do not collect analytics or usage data
- We do not use advertising trackers
- We do not sell, share, or rent your personal data
- We do not store any data on our servers
- We do not use cookies
- We do not create user accounts
- We do not collect email addresses, names, or contact information
- We do not access your photo library (camera only, no gallery browsing)
In-App Purchases
Fresqi offers optional premium features via subscription:
- Annual: $24.99/year
- Lifetime: $79.99 one-time
Purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not receive or store any payment information. Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID or Google account settings.
Data Retention
Since all data is stored locally on your device:
- Deleting the App removes all Fresqi data from your device
- We have no data to retain on our servers
- You can clear your inventory and shopping list data at any time within the App
Children's Privacy
Fresqi does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The App does not require an account and stores no personal information on our servers.
Data Security
- All data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database on your device
- API keys are stored using platform-secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android EncryptedSharedPreferences)
- No data is transmitted over the network except when you explicitly use optional features (recipes, barcode lookup)
Your Rights
Since we don't collect your data, there is nothing for us to delete, export, or modify. Your data is entirely under your control on your device.
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under GDPR. Since we don't process personal data on our servers, these rights are automatically satisfied.
If you are in California, you have rights under CCPA. Since we don't sell personal information, no opt-out is necessary.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last updated" date.
